| El ciclo reproductivo de la ostra del Pacífico, Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg), presenta diferencias significativas (S [a = 0.05]) en septiembre y octubre, en las localidades de La Boca y Mina Vieja. El máximo índice gonadal (IG) se presentó en Mina Vieja en mayo y agosto con 32 y 34% y el mínimo en octubre con 8%. En La Boca, el máximo IG ocurrió en septiembre y octubre con 37% y el mínimo en abril con 7%. Desoves parciales se observaron de julio a octubre en la región de La Boca y de julio a septiembre en Mina Vieja, ubicada en la parte interna del sistema de la bahía de San Quintín. Se observó una asincronía en la maduración y desove entre machos y hembras. La proporción macho:hembra fue 7:3 y el hermafroditismo menor del 3%. The reproductive cycle of the Pacitk oyster, Crassostrea gigas (Thunberg), presents signiticant differences (S [a = 0.05]) in September and October in the La Boca and Mina Vieja locations. The maximum gonadal index (GI) occurred in May and August at Mina Vieja with 32 and 34%, respectively and the minimum of 8% in October. In La Boca, the highest GI value of 37% was obtained in September and October while the lowest, 7%, was observed in April. Partial spawnings were observed from July through October in La Boca and from July to September in Mina Vieja, located in the internal area of Bahía San Quintín.
