| "Con el uso del análisis volumétrico se efectúa una cuantificación de las aguas concurrentes entre la superficie y la isoterma de 50ºC en la línea hidrográfica No. 100 de T plan CalCOFI, usando datos del período 1950-1968. Normalmente se encuentra que el 15% del volumen total ocurre entre 14 y 20ºC, el 6 15 % entre 12 y 140ºC (posición de la termoclina permanente y el 81% entre 5 y 120ºC. Asimismo, el 23% ocurre entre 33.1 y 33.6 x 10̄³, el 11% entre 33.6 y 33.8 x 10̄³ (haloclina permanente) y el 67% entre 33.8 y 34.5 x10̄³.La distribución volumétrica observada resulta similar a la estructura termohalina subártica."
