| La precipitación en el norte de Baja California posee un marcado régimen invernal, sin embargo este régimen se ve alterado año con año por variabilidades de diversas frecuencias. Por otro lado, los efectos de El Niño Oscilación del Sur (ENOS) en las regiones extratropicales han sido muy investigados en los últimos años dentro de la comunidad científica. Estudios recientes muestran que el fenómeno ENOS representa una señal importante dentro de la variabilidad interanual de la precipitación en la región. Sin embargo existen discrepancias en cuanto a las conclusiones a que se han llegado en diferentes trabajos, ya que algunos muestran resultados incluso contrapuestos en relación a los efectos del ENOS en la precipitación de la región. En el presente trabajo se realiza un extenso análisis de correlación entre la precipitación en algunas estaciones de la región y el ENOS con el objetivo de investigar la influencia de éste en la precipitación, es decir, se determina la región de máxima influencia para posteriormente ser aplicado el resultado a la elaboración de un pronóstico secundario de precipitación. Se usaron datos de precipitación mensual total para un total de 29 estaciones distribuidas en el norte de Baja California y sur de California y se realiza un análisis de correlación con los diferentes índices que definen a un evento ENOS, con la finalidad de determinar la relación de este evento en la configuración de la precipitación en la región de estudio a escalas de tiempo interanuales. Precipitation in the northern of Baja California has a noticeable winter regime, nevertheless, this regime is altered year with year by variabilities of diverse frequencies. On the other hand, the El Niño-Southern Oscillation phenomenon (ENSO) effects in the extratropical regions have been very well investigated by the scientific community. Recent studies show that the ENSO phenomenon represents an important signal within the interannual variability of the precipitation in the region. Nevertheless discrepancies as far as the conclusions exist to which have been arrived in different works, since some even show results opposed in relation to the effects of the ENSO in the precipitation in the region. In the present work an extencive analysis of correlation between the precipitation in some stations on the region and the ENSO phenomenon are performed, with the objetive to investigate that paper carries out this one on the precipitation in the region, that is to say, the region of maximum influence is determined to be able to apply the results obtained to the elaboration of a secondary forecast of precipitation, Data of montly accumulated precipitation were used for a total of 29 stations along from north of Baja California to southern California, and an analysis of correlation with the different ENSO indices is carried a out that characterize an ENSO event with the purpose of determining the relationship of this event in the precipitation pattern in the region fo study to interannual timescales. | |
