| La presente tesis tiene como objetivo principal el estudio y andlisis de los esquemas SDMA en combinacién de TDMA, comotécnicas de acceso para una red ATM inalambrica. Actualmente las necesidades y exigencias en la calidad de los servicios multimedios demandan mayor ancho de banda. Las redes de tercera generacién son capaces de proporcionar la calidad de servicio que el usuario demanda, hoy en dia, sin embargo,la disponibilidad del ancho de banda es un recurso limitado. Es por ello quese hace necesario el estudio de nuevas técnicas que nos permitan hacer un mejor uso de los recursos ya existentes al mismo tiempo que se satisfacen los requerimientos de calidad de servicio. La tendencia de las redes actuales es la integracién delosservicios de voz, datos y video en unasola red que pueda ofrecer calidad deservicio y flexibilidad en los equipos utilizados de una red a otra; de manera que el usuario pueda accesar a la red desde cualquier punto a través de una terminal remota. SDMA surge como una propuesta para resolver parte de esta problematica, utiliza bésicamente arreglos de antenas en la estacién base conla finalidad de que cada una delas sefiales sean separadas espacialmente. Por tanto, el andlisis consiste en medir los parémetros de desempefio del sistema (BER, SNR, potencia e interferencias) utilizando un esquema SDMA.Finalmente se reportan los resultados obtenidos en la simulacién del algoritmo propuesto. The main target of this thesis proyects is the study and analysis of SDMA schemes combinated with TDMA, as access techniques for a wireless ATM network. At the moment the needs and coustraints in the quality of the multimedia services demand greater bandwidth. The third generation networks are able to provide the quality of service that the user demands nowadays, nevertheless, the availability of the bandwidth is a limited resource. It is for this reason that the study of new access techniques that allow to make a more efficient use of the available bandwith, satisfying at the same time the quality of service (QoS) requeriments become necessary. The tendency of the present networks is towards the integration of services of voice, data and video services in a single network that can offer quality of service and flexibility in the used equipment independently of the network used; so that the user can gain access to the network from any point through a remote terminal. SDMA arises like a proposal to solve part of this problematic, basically it uses array antennas in the base stations with the purpose of spatially separating each one of the signals. Therefore, this analysis consists of measuring the performance parameters of the system (BER, SNR, power and interference) using a SDMA scheme. Finally the conclusions from the proposed algorithm simulation results and analysis are reported. | |
