| Three strains of microalgae and one combination were tested as food for Artemia franciscana. The combined diet was 90% Spirulina máxima (dry weight) and 10% Chaetoceros sp. produced or survival rate of 94.1% and had the highest values on the proximal analysis. A. franciscana fed with the combined diet reached a grater final size than those fed pure microalgae, but individual fed S. maxima grew faster until the metanauplius stage. Artemia fed Dunaliella sp were first to reach the adult stage and those fed Chaetoceros sp had the highest number of matings(mean 67 .54). | |
