| Gracias a los avances tecnoldgicos en la actualidad el uso de la multimedia ha crecido notablemente, ahora es posible que un gran numero de personas realicen videoconferencias, telepresentaciones, clases a distancia, etc., en muchas de estas interacciones, elementos como el audio y el video han sido utilizados como medios de comunicacion sincrono, desperdiciando la informacién de éstos al no ser almacenados. Sin embargo, han surgido sistemas multimedios en muchas areas que tienen estos tipos de datos como fuente de informacidn. En la educacién se han utilizado los sistemas multimedios para difundir el conocimiento masalla de las barreras fisicas, de escuelas , bibliotecas, etc. El poder accesar cursos electronicos se ha vuelto comun y una gran cantidad de profesores tienen sus cursos disponibles en el Web incluyendo generalmente texto e imagenes. Recientemente se han desarrollado sistemas multimedios para la captura y recuperacién de cursos electrénicos, realizando la integracién de diversos medios. En este trabajo se realiz6 un analisis de algunos de estos sistemas mostrando sus ventajas y desventajas. Debido a estas ultimas surge la necesidad de desarrollar un sistema que incluya nuevascaracteristicas de las que sistemas de su tipo carecen. En este trabajo se presenta el andlisis, disefio e implementacion de un sistema para la captura y recuperacion de presentaciones multimedia, que incluye informacion auditiva y textual del presentador hacia la audiencia. El sistema fué realizado en el lenguaje de programacién JAVA es accesado usando un visualizador de Web, lo que permite su uso en diferentes plataformas de hardware. El sistema cuenta con un procedimiento de captura que es automatico, sencillo y adecuado. El indexado de la sesién se realiza en base a eventos ocurridos en ésta, relacionandolos diferentes datos que se manejan (audio y texto). También se implementaron mecanismospara una apropiada recuperacion dela informacion asi comodesu visualizacion y posterior reproduccién del audio sincronizado conel acetato correspondiente. With the technological advances at the present time the use of the multimedia has grown notably, today is possible that a great number of people are involved in videoconferences, telepresentations, classes to distance, etc., in many of these interactions, elements like the audio and the video has been used like synchronous means of communication, but most of the information is wasted because it isn’t stored. However, multimedia systems have arisen in manyareas that use these type of multimedia data like source of information. In the education the multimedia systems have been used in order to diffuse the knowledge beyond the physical barriers, of schools, libraries, etc. The accessing of electronic courses has become common and manyteachers has their courses available in the Web those including in general text and images. Recently multimedia systems have been developed for the capture andretrieval of electronic courses, using multimedia data. In this work an analysis of some of these systemsis carried out to show their advantagesand disadvantages. Due to these the necessity of developing a new system with new characteristic that similar systemsarises. This work presents the analysis, design and implementation of a system for thecapture and retrieval of multimedia presentations that includes audio and textual information of a speaker to an audience. The system was developed in JAVAandit is accessed using a browser,this allowsit to be used in several platforms of hardware. The system has a procedure of capture that is automatic, simple and appropriate. The session indexing is developed based on events happening during the session, making relation between the audio, slides and the text associated to the presentation. Mechanisms for an appropriate retrieval of the information are also implemented, allowing the visualization of the information and the reproduction synchronizing the audio with the correspondingslide. | |
