| Las revisiones sistemáticas de literatura (RSL), son fundamentales para realizar investigación en todas las áreas del conocimiento, ya que permiten establecer el estado actual del área en cuestión. No obstante, las RSLs implican un gran consumo de tiempo y en ocasiones coordinar un equipo multidisciplinario diverso. Por otro lado, las RSLs requieren gestionar la información a través de múltiples etapas. En particular, la etapa de identificación de los registros del conocimiento es muy importante, dado que es donde se recuperan las evidencias científicas, lo que implica un esfuerzo importante si ésta se realiza de forma manual, con búsquedas directamente en los motores de búsqueda, entre otras actividades. Sin embargo, esta etapa puede simplificarse significativamente si se utilizan las tecnologías web para su gestión y APIs para su recuperación. De acuerdo con lo anterior, en este trabajo de tesis se desarrolló CICESEarch, un sistema de apoyo a la etapa de identificación de una RSL; el cual realiza la búsqueda de registros identificados en relación con un área de interés dada, en distintos motores de búsqueda a la vez; también lleva el registro de los criterios de inclusión/exclusión, elimina los registros duplicados y filtra los registros según algún criterio establecido como el rango de años, o el tipo de publicaciones. Se evaluó la utilidad y usabilidad del sistema, por medio de un experimento controlado con dos grupos de participantes, expertos y no expertos en realizar RSLs; quienes realizaron tareas para recuperar registros y homologarlos, generando un listado único sin duplicados. Las actividades se llevaron a cabo tanto con el sistema, como de forma manual. Los resultados derivados de dicha evaluación reflejaron la aceptación en el uso de CICESEarch, resaltando la completitud de los registros y la rapidez con que se obtuvieron. También señalaron un conjunto de características adicionales con las que debería contar el sistema para mejorar su usabilidad; así como, la necesidad de integrar un número mayor de fuentes de información con las que se pueda consultar directamente a través del sistema. The systematic literature reviews (SLR) are essential for doing research in all the knowledge fields since they enable to state the current state of the art. Nevertheless, they are time-consuming and sometimes require multidisciplinary collaboration work; they also need the management of information through multiple stages. In particular, the stage of identification of knowledge citations is crucial, since it is where the scientific evidence collection is recovered. This takes a considerable effort if it is done manually, as the citations are searched for, directly on the search engines, among other activities. However, this stage can be significantly simplified when using web technologies for its management and APIs for its recovery. According to the later, in this research work, we developed CICESEarch, a computer system that supports the stage of identification of an SLR; which performs the search of primary studies related to a given area of interest with different search engines at the same time. It also maintains track of inclusion/exclusion criteria, eliminates duplicated records and filters them according to some established parameters, such as the range of years, or the type of publications. We evaluated the usefulness and ease of use of the system with a controlled experiment, which was done with two groups of participants: experts and non-experts in performing SLRs. They performed tasks to retrieve records and homogenize them, generating a single list deduplicated. The activities were carried out using the system and manually. The results of the evaluation showed the acceptance of the use of CICESEarch. The participants also highlighted the completeness of the records and the time saved to obtain them. Also, indicating an additional set of features that the system should have, to improve its usability; as well as the need to integrate a higher number of search engines that can be consulted directly via the system. | |
